Sampling the bounty of Boston's restaurants while keeping a handleon the budget is the beauty of Restaurant Week. The second annualedition of the event will take place from Aug. 19 to 23, with 55restaurants participating. During the week, which is sponsored byAmerican Express, the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau,and the Anthony Spinazzola Foundation, Boston and Cambridgerestaurants will serve either a prix-fixe lunch for $20.02 or a three-course dinner for $30.02, a new feature this year.
Seven of the newest restaurants in town are included - Via Mattain Park Square, Spire in Nine Zero hotel on Tremont, Mantra in theLadder District, blu in the Sports Club/LA and Jer-Ne in the RitzCarlton Millennium, both near the Ladder District, Bonfire in ParkSquare, and Cheers at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. All participatingrestaurants are taking reservations, which are recommended.
